We are excited to announce our partnership with RambleRill Farm to present Carolina Piedmont Summertime Tea Talks on Sunday, August 29, 1:00pm-5:00pm
Calling all foodies, tea lovers, locavores, and growers! Did you know that green, black, white, and oolong tea are all made from the same plant---Camellia sinensis---which thrives in the NC Piedmont? That tea has terroir? And that NC farmers and gardeners are part of a growing movement in producing local tea? Join us at RambleRill Farm in Hillsborough for an afternoon of tea. You’ll learn about tea growing and processing and its medicinal and therapeutic aspects. You’ll taste teas and explore the gustatory nuances of tea types. You’ll also learn about the renaissance in tea consumption and cultivation in the United States and the local tea community of growers and drinkers.
This event will adhere to CDC and Orange County COVID-19 regulations. Safety protocols will be in place, including indoor masking, social distancing, and limited registration. We will closely monitor new guidelines as they arise.
